Kathak, taught the way it was meant to be learned.
Kathak is what Shubh Sanskar was founded to teach. Students begin with posture and tatkar — the flat-footed rhythmic footwork everything else is built on — long before they are handed a composition to perform.
Ghungroo are introduced when the ankles are ready for them, not on a timetable. That patience is the whole method, and it is why our students still dance a decade later.

Batches run through the week and on weekend mornings, split by age and level. Fees depend on the form and the batch — send an enquiry and we will share the current structure for the one you are interested in.

Navratri Garba and Dandia batches are open
Six-week seasonal batches for Garba and Dandia Raas begin this month, ahead of Navratri. Open to all ages, no prior experience needed.

A new adult Kathak batch on weekend mornings
We have added a Saturday and Sunday morning Kathak batch for adult beginners, after a long waitlist on the weekday classes.

Annual showcase dates announced
Our annual student showcase returns in December, with performances from every batch including the youngest folk and Garba groups.
