Privacy Policy

The short version

This website collects one thing: the enquiry you choose to send us through the contact or admissions form. We use it only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange a trial class or enrolment. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or track you across other websites. We do count visits with cookie-free page statistics, described under “Cookies and tracking” below.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Shubh Sanskar Creative Dance Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”), the Data Fiduciary for any personal data collected through this website, located at Kahani, Tagore Hill Road, Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand 834008. It applies to visitors to this website and to anyone who submits an enquiry through it. It does not cover information you give us in person at the studio, which is handled under our regular admissions process.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry or admissions form we collect the name, mobile number, email address (if you give one), the batch you selected, and the message you wrote — which may include your child’s name, age, or the dance form they are interested in. We also record the time of submission and basic technical information sent by your browser, such as your user agent string and the page you came from, which we use only to filter automated spam submissions.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, any payment or financial details, government identity numbers, or health information through this form. If a health condition is relevant to a student’s training, please tell the instructor directly at the studio.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We use the information you provide only to:

• Reply to your enquiry and answer your questions about classes, timings or fees;
• Arrange and confirm a free trial class or enrolment;
• Contact you about the batch you enquired about, by WhatsApp, phone, or email; and
• Identify and discard spam or abusive submissions.

We rely on your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the form, as the basis for this processing. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us using the details below, though this will not affect anything we did with your information before you withdrew it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising pixels or cross-site tracking. Fonts are served from this website rather than requested from an external provider.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, run by our hosting provider, to count visits and to see how fast pages load. They do not use cookies and do not follow you to other websites. They record things such as the page visited, where the visitor came from, country, device and browser, and a few actions: pressing a WhatsApp, phone, email or free-trial button, playing a video, and sending an enquiry. They never receive your name, number, or anything you type into a form.

The exceptions are the map on our contact page and the videos on our home and gallery pages. The map loads from Google when you scroll down to it (unless your browser’s data saver is on, in which case it waits for you to press “Load the map”), and a video loads only when you play it. When they load, Google (which owns YouTube) will receive your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. If you never reach the map or play a video, no request is made to Google at all.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers. It is seen only by the people who run the Academy, for the purposes above. We may disclose it if required to do so by law, by a court, or by a competent government authority, or to protect the rights, safety or property of the Academy, our students, or the public.

Submitting the enquiry form may involve your message being delivered to us via WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. under its own privacy policy.

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also provides the visit statistics described above.

Where and how it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a database operated for the Academy and are not published or made visible to other visitors. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep this information secure, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is useful for responding to you and, if you enrol, for managing that enrolment, or as long as we are required to keep it by law, whichever is longer. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see “Your rights” below.

Children’s information

Many of our students are children. This form is meant to be filled in by a parent or guardian on the child’s behalf, not by the child directly, and the contact details we collect (phone, email) belong to the parent or guardian, not the student. By submitting a child’s name or age in the message field, you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian and that you consent to our processing that information as described in this policy. Please do not allow a child to submit this form unsupervised.

Your rights

As a Data Principal under Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you, and to see a summary of it;
• Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate or out-of-date information;
• Ask us to erase information that is no longer needed for the purposes above;
• Withdraw your consent at any time; and
• Register a complaint with us, and if unresolved, with the relevant data protection authority.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use this website after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, to the extent applicable.
