Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

Acceptance of these terms

This website is operated by Shubh Sanskar Creative Dance Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”), located at Kahani, Tagore Hill Road, Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand 834008. By using this website, submitting an enquiry, attending a trial class, or enrolling in a class, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or enrol in our classes.

Minors and guardians

Many of our students are minors. Where a student is under 18, these terms are entered into by, and are binding on, that student’s parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the accuracy of any information submitted, for the student’s conduct, and for the decisions in the “Assumption of risk” section below on that student’s behalf. A parent or guardian must complete admissions on behalf of a minor; it should not be done by the minor alone.

Information on this site

We keep class timings, batch availability and event details as current as we can, but they change — batches fill, times shift, and events are occasionally rescheduled. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a particular batch is open or that a particular class will run at a particular time. Please confirm with us before travelling to the studio.

Fees are not published on this website and are shared directly on enquiry. Any fee, offer, or timing communicated to you directly by the Academy takes precedence over anything you may infer from this website.

Enquiries, trial classes and enrolment

Submitting the enquiry or admissions form does not, by itself, enrol you or reserve a place in any batch. It starts a conversation. A free trial class is confirmed only once we have replied and agreed a date and batch with you, and enrolment is confirmed only once the Academy has accepted the student into a batch and, where applicable, received the applicable fee.

Fees, payment and cancellation

Fees, payment schedules, and batch-change requests are handled directly with the Academy and are not processed through this website. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Academy, fees already paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person, including on account of a student’s voluntary withdrawal, absence, or change of mind. The Academy may, at its sole discretion, offer a refund, credit, or batch transfer in a particular case, without being obliged to do so in any other case.

The Academy may cancel, combine, reschedule, or discontinue a batch due to insufficient enrolment, instructor availability, or circumstances described under “Force majeure” below, and will try to give reasonable notice when it does.

Code of conduct

Students and, where applicable, their parents or guardians are expected to treat instructors, staff, and other students with respect, and to follow studio rules on safety, punctuality, and appropriate attire. The Academy may, at its discretion, suspend or refuse continued enrolment to any student whose conduct it reasonably considers disruptive, unsafe, or harmful to the Academy or to other students, without being obliged to refund fees already paid for that period.

Assumption of risk

Dance and movement training — including but not limited to Kathak, folk, contemporary, ballet, belly dance, breakdance, afro jazz, dandia, garba, fusion, and acrobatics — is physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury, including sprains, strains, falls, and, rarely, more serious injury. This risk exists even when instruction, supervision and safety practices are properly followed.

By enrolling a student in any class at the Academy, the student (or, where the student is a minor, their parent or legal guardian) voluntarily and knowingly accepts these inherent risks, and agrees that the Academy, its founder, instructors, and staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from ordinary training risks that are not the result of the Academy’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

Health and fitness disclosure

If a student has an injury, a medical condition, a physical limitation, or is returning to movement after a long gap, the parent, guardian, or adult student must tell the instructor before the student’s first class, and before resuming after any injury, so that training can be adjusted accordingly. The Academy is not responsible for complications arising from a condition that was not disclosed.

Photographs, video and publicity

The Academy may photograph or record classes, rehearsals, and performances for use on this website, in the Academy’s own social media, and in promotional material, including images that may feature enrolled students. By enrolling, you consent to this use unless you tell us otherwise in writing before the material is used. Any student or parent/guardian who would prefer a specific photograph or video not to be used should contact us and we will remove it from future use within a reasonable time.

All photographs, text, graphics, and other content on this website belong to the Academy or are used with permission, and may not be copied, reproduced, or used for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

No warranty

This website and the information on it are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that enrolling in a class will result in any particular skill level, examination result, or performance outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Academy, its founder, instructors, and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with this website or your enrolment in a class. Where liability cannot be excluded, the Academy’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of your enrolment will not exceed the amount of fees you paid to the Academy for the class or term giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Academy, its founder, instructors, and staff from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of this website, or an act or omission by you or, where applicable, your child, at the studio — except to the extent caused by the Academy’s own gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Force majeure

The Academy is not liable for any failure or delay in providing classes or services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, epidemic, strikes, government action, or disruption to utilities or premises.

External links and third-party services

This site links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, this website, or your enrolment shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand, and the parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably before initiating legal proceedings.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect. These terms, together with any written enrolment or fee agreement signed at the studio, form the entire agreement between you and the Academy regarding your enrolment, and supersede any prior understanding on the same subject.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use this website or remaining enrolled after an update means you accept the revised terms.
